OnePlus has made it official that it is launching a new software version, OxygenOS 16, in a phased manner across India. The new update, based on the latest Google operating system Android 16, brings along the developer's fixation on performance, completely different UI, and new functions based on Artificial Intelligence. The new version will arrive first on the latest flagship smartphones and later on the older devices and tablets in the company.
The oxygenOS 16 launch aligns with the forthcoming introduction of the OnePlus 15 which will be available in India starting November 13. As the new smartphone that is going to be the first one with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and comes packed with OOS 16. Additionally, OnePlus smartphones will get the update in the following weeks.
OxygenOS 16: Eligible Devices and Rollout Schedule
OnePlus shared the information on the timeline of the rollout:
November 1: OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13s
November 5: OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12, OnePlus Pad 3, OnePlus Pad 2
November 7: OnePlus Open
Later in November: OnePlus 12R
In December, the update will be given to some models from the OnePlus 11 series and various Nord devices. Premium devices from the lineup, that are to get the flagship treatment in the coming time, produce quite a number like OnePlus 13, 13s, 13R, 13T, 12, 12R, 11, and 11R. At the same time, the Nord series smartphones that can be considered for the upgrading includes OnePlus Nord 3, Nord 4, Nord 5, and Nord CE 4. Besides, foldable and tablet devices such as OnePlus Open and Pad series will also be welcomed by the update. A few of the older units like Nord 2, Nord 2T, and Nord 2 Lite will not be offered the update.
